In hospital on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, aged 64 years. Robert was a proud resident of The Salvation Army Ottawa Grace Manor for many years. Cherished brother of Carol (Bob Lyle). Lovingly remembered by niece Carrie (husband Mark) of Vancouver and nephew Ron of Edmonton. The family is forever grateful for the friendship, support, compassion and professional care from staff that Robert received at the Grace Manor. Robert faced many mental and physical challenges in his life, and at the Grace he finally felt accepted and loved. The medical personnel and staff at the Dialysis Unit of The Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, deserve recognition for their tireless efforts on behalf of Robert. Appreciation is given to Don and friends at Eastern Ontario Patient Transfer Service for the many field trips back and forth to Dialysis. Robert looked forward to the outings and friendship of Don, Francine and Nathaniel. A memorial will be held at the Ottawa Grace Manor, 1156 Wellington Street, Ottawa, starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
