<div itemprop="description">La Salle, Charles<br><br>Called home by his Heavenly Father to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at the age of 61 in Sarasota, Florida. First of two children of the late Fred and Viola La Salle, Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife Susan Jessop, his son Stephen, daughters Elyse and Rachelle, step daughter Alison and his brother Paul (Karen). He will be missed by family, a large circle of friends and fellow members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Ottawa) and Ascension Lutheran Church (Sarasota, Florida). Born in Ottawa, Charles attended Carleton and Queens University earning several degrees. He joined the Government of Canada and had a successful career which ended in the international trade field at Foreign Affairs. Charles retired in 2012 and lived life to the fullest, traveling abroad and spending winters in Florida. <br>Family and friends may pay respects at the <br>Kelly's Funeral Home-Somerset Chapel<br>585 Somerset St. W. The funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 210 Wilbrod St, Ottawa. Charles was a very generous individual so in lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to St. Paul 's Evangelical Lutheran Church, The United Way, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lee Matasi Memorial Fund (Community Foundation of Ottawa).<br></div>
