<div itemprop="description">On September 13, 2014 at the Ottawa General Hospital, in his 90th year, surrounded by his loving family, Paul passed peacefully into the arms of so many of his loved one's who have travelled this journey before him. Paul, retired research scientist (PHD), National Research Council, Energy Mines and Resources and Environment Canada. He was a member of the Professional Institute of Canada, Air Pollution Control Association, American Institute of Metallurgy and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Some of his research publications were requested worldwide. Predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Joan. To mourn his passing he leaves behind his dearly loved children, Paul Edward, Marie-Jeanne (Ross Hawley), Daniel (Sue) and Deanna (Rick Peloquin). Loving grandfather to Jessica, Natasha, Adam, Jennifer, Joshua, Amanda, Rose-Aline, Michael, Allison, and Jordan. Dear great grandfather to Kaylee, Maya, Brayden, Kiana and Alexandra. Also predeceased by his very dear friend Georgina (Joan) Grain. Paul was an active member of his church as coordinator of several ministries at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and St. Peters Church in Ottawa, he was also commissioned as a special minister of Holy Communion in 1989. Our heartfelt appreciation to the Perley Rideau care providers on Ottawa 2 West for their excellent and sensitive care. Special thanks also to the Ottawa General Hospital, 7 East unit and to the Palliative Care Team for their compassionate help to our Dad during his final transition.
